If only people would listen though, our careful selections based on the tolerance of each party to put up with the other would make for wonderful marriages. Not all of them filled with fluffy love, but they'd grow in so many wonderful ways! Or be emotionally crippled due to complete incompatibility we somehow overlooked. Whatever.

It's cool that this thread is almost ready to split.

I think we've squeezed out almost every last conceivable wish-they-were-a-couple we can from active posters *sad face*

If cats had thumbs they would keep us only as toys, some would love us, but others ... they would have such cruel fun.

The more people post about animals (cats or otherwise) the more I realise just how important it can be in the matchmaking process, whereas before my thoughts merely went "meh ... they'll get over it" now the like vs. dislike is creating interesting challenges when it comes to the final decision of who has been dancing around the should-get-together-bush long enough.

So far though most of the matches seem to be going like this

I see this as an acceptable risk factor.

I think you need to come up with a "master" list of matches. Ones you truly believe in and then wear them down with persistant convincing that they should exchange one PM so at least all your beautiful conivings were not wasted.

Actually, the perfect way would be if someone could come up with a game for the board that involved a two-person team and then make your matches do it together for quality bonding time....
But that requires quite a bit of creative brain power. Nagging might be simpler

I can see this as either the best thing since sliced bread, leading to people talking and having fun, or seeing a sudden decrease in forum activity as people seek to avoid the meddlesome creatures who use CF as their entertainment ground.

Nagging can be endearing, when it's done right. Sneak attacks involving tranq darts, a cargo vessel and the ship's captain... not so much.
