CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks to all who have prayed for me. I am feeling a lot stronger than I was 24 hours ago. I know I will be more than fine now. I do believe in the awesom power of prayer.
A special thanks to you Julie. Though we have never met in any formal way, I have learned to watch for your post's, as they are always short and filled with love and wisdom. It is one of the ways other's can see Jesus in you even through the printed page.

5:14-16: "If anyone is ill he should send for the Church elders. They should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name. Believing prayer will save the sick man; the Lord will restore him and any sins that he has committed will be forgiven. You should get into the habit of admitting your sins to each other, and praying for each other, so that if sickness comes to you may be healed.
Tremendous power is made available through a good man's earnest prayer."
