A while back, there were some here who claimed that Archbishop Zollitsch was involved in covering an abusive priest; he has been cleared of charges after an investigation by authorities.

I don't know this case, but I also didnt see anything in the article other than a decision. No facts or proof at all. If he was accused of breaking the speed limit they would show more proof.

The authorities cleared him... the contents of an investigation often involves private information that is confidential under law, so it will not be published for the public eye. If he was cleared by the German investigators, it is reasonable to say that nothing came up on him.

That's the good thing about the modern judicial system. Plenty of checks and balances to ensure that the innocent are not wrongfully convicted.

Happily though, there are hundreds of pedophile priests and bishops in jails all around the world, still serving time for their awful crimes - as they should.
