I'm not one to dog other nations' military, but I'm having a problem dealing with the Georgian Army down here in Al-Kut and Badrah. Allot of these Georgians work the checkpoints and are shaking down not only Iraqis, but Iranians also who pass through. Either they use all the minutes of their cellphones then give it back to the Iraqis, or they steal all the personal belongings the civilian has on them. Also, the Georgians were telling the Iraqis that if they brought them food, they'd give them free JP8.
Another thing: these guys are thugs. They beat up an Iraqi vendor on base. We had a small PX before, but they broke in and looted it, so they shut it down for a year. When they re-opened, they now have the El Salvadorians guarding the place with loaded M4s, just in case these guys get out of line. One time, a Georgian soldier locked and loaded on one of the line servers in the chow hall, cause he wouldn't give him more food. Now, the Ugandans are at the chowhall entrance and inside making sure the Georgians behave.
Awww..I'm just wondering if anyone has this experience with these guys. Also, they are horrible drivers and are not gonna slow down for anyone on base. One of these days, someone is gonna get hurt by them. Another case is that a Georgian walked into a female tent and took an IBA and walked right out with it.
