  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Gentle Correction

Hi guys
this poem is based on my testimony and the gentle way in which the Lord corrected me. Enjoy.

Gentle Correction

Stumbling deeper, deeper, darker, darker.
I can’t look back, the brightness still hurts my eyes.
At first I ran, then as I tired I walked,
further and further until the warmth left my back.
Each junction that I came to pointed a way, away!
to distant hills where grass looked greener and greener still.
But in the darkness I couldn’t see properly,
parched earth and dried river bed paths seemed all that was left of life.
Still I walked, stumbling from time to time.
Bloodied hands and knees reminded me of my fallen state.
Round and round, till my numbness was a comfort,
now out of sight of suns warm rays I lay and wept in pools of sorrow.

I was woken one day by a touch so surely good,
upon my shoulder an arm like brotherly love and motherly tears.
Not heavy laden but light was I,
along side of me hope so pure and comforts foot prints.
With love about I turned, at hope above I gazed,
corrected by loves perfect work not imperfect laws demands.
One moment facing darkness and despair,
the next, toward the light, though bowed low I dared not look.
Crying with unheard words and reaching to unseen hands,
my resurrection, new breath upon me now.
Guided home with healing, lifted up with love,
gentle correction, turn all back to the Father heart.
