  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

 Really? My pastor taught from the Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic texts. I just grabbed the NIV because most people know it, and it so happens to be accurate. You do not know the Hebrew in this case. Ish can be used in the plural to refer to both men and women. But, in the singular? Not so.

Ish, means "man." Ishah, is woman. Adam called her "Ishah."

Gen 2:23

The man (ish) said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman, (ishah)'
for she was taken out of man (ish)."

Wish it were nice meeting you. But... I see its only futile to continue. You have been taught things that do not line up with solid exegesis, but you believe it anyway. I say... No way! Bye!

Have a nice Day, GeneZ

Gene, the HOLY SPIRIT is my Teacher. Save your snide comments for someone else. This subject is just one of the many examples why I will never be a part of any "Denomination". Satan has corrupted them with his half-truths, starting with these false teachings of Genesis. You really are missing quite a few things. In this case, that Eve had never before given birth, hence her comment. You are under the delusion that Adam and Eve had female children before Cain and Able (utterly un-Biblical) and therefore she "prayed for a male child" (utterly un-Biblical) and one of these non-existent daughters became Cain's wife. I will stand on the WORD 100% and let the readers of this thread decide who is rightly dividing it and who is relying on man's word for their belief. Like I said in my very first reply, my answer would be "controversial" and be met with strong, yet unfounded, opposition. Just look at the MULTIPLE instances of "spinning" and "twisting" of my words and you can see the Serpent's fingerprints - I pray the original poster will search for himself with an open mind to break through man's traditions and Satan's lies.

Gene, do yourself a huge favor (and I speak from experience here) and only use a KJV and a Strong's Concordance when studying. It will at least give you a fighting chance of studying the original languages for yourself. ONLY THEN can the full Truth of GOD'S WORD be understood.

YHVH Bless.

He's only your's?

Not mine?

How do you know? The six day man is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible as being a six day man. He would be if he were a reality.

Honest question..... GeneZ

God created man on what day? The SIXTH day. HENCE 6th day man. Debating the existance of 6th day man is foolishness. Now if you wanted to debate the existance of 8th day man - now that would be different.

God created the souls of male and female on the sixth day. These souls had no body. Later on he did create a body. He formed a body out from the elements of the earth.

That body laid there dead. It was not alive. What brought it to life? The Lord breathed into the nostrils the breath of life. The soul he created in Genesis 1:27, entered into that body.

It did not say the man became a living being in Genesis 1:27. That only happened in Genesis 2. Also, the Hebrew reveals two completely different types of creating was taking place in Genesis 1:27, and Genesis 2:7.

And? If there were two kinds of men? Who did Jesus die for? Where they sinners, too? Why no mention of the fall of Abdah and Bulka? :)

1 Corinthians 15:45 niv
"So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being" ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit."

How does your six day man theory circumnavigate that passage? Its says, Adam was the first man! The so called "six day man" was supposed to be created before Adam! What happened?

And? The King James says the same thing!

"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. "

As you can see... the "man" was made a living "soul." The soul is the invisible essence of who we really are. The man? That was the name used for the body made to house the soul.

That body was dead until God breathed a soul into it. The very soul God created (bara) in Genesis 1:27.

In Genesis 1, "God saw."

In Genesis 2, we see.

God saw the invisible as if it were manifested, in chapter One. Then we see what God knew would come to pass in chapter Two.

Grace and peace, GeneZ

rotfl! There is nothing to indicate in Gen 1 that Adam and Eve lacked bodies. If anything they lacked SPIRITS until God breathed the breathe of life into them. Why would everything else created on that day have physical forums BUT man???

I too had a good laugh at that one - the LORD is now speaking to and blessing body-less people! How could they "be fruitful and multiply" without flesh bodies?! How could they subdue the earth? Do spirits need to eat?? As verse 30 says, IT WAS SO; that creation of the 6th day was COMPLETE. HE then rested on the 7th day and created a new man on the 8th day, the first with the HOLY SPIRIT; "eth ha Adam" to till the ground. etc etc etc

Gen 1:26-30 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

That's what happens when you make a doctrine around a single word.

It only says..."and God saw" God sees what is not yet, as it is already having been! God was seeing all that this new creation was to do. There was no six day men who were hunters! Even in Genesis 1, it states God gave only plants for food.

Genesis 1:30 niv
to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
It was only AFTER the flood, that God first gave animal flesh to man to eat. Not in Genesis 1, as you claim, to your so called "six day man." Animals were given to man who only became hunters AFTER the flood of Noah! Not, before! There were no hunters in Gensis 1!

Genesis 9:3 niv
"Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything."

So? Someone came up with a theory, called the "six day man." That Adam was to till the earth. Some grabbed onto this hook, line, and sinker. Now they can not accept correction because if they did it would make them look silly, perhaps? These men, if they existed could not be hunters! No one ate meat then!

Humilty is the ability to be corrected. God looks for the humble heart. Those who refuse correction God can not give greater grace to.

Now? Tell me how the six day man were to be hunters, again? How could they be? God only gave plants for food.
