Genesis 6:4?

Is this referring to giants as people? Or could this possibly be referring to dinosaurs? I know that sounds silly but I'm curious.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

I think that there was another passage that referred to dinosaurs but not in genesis. Hmm...maybe you can google it!!

tt refers to the "Fallen Angels". Read Jude 6, and read the Book of Enoch.

Dear CMarie, As JHM just stated, many believe these were the fallen angels who were mating with the daughters of Adam. As the book of Jude states, they left their place of habitation, heaven, and are now locked up awaiting judgement. Meanwhile, they produced the giants (Nephilim) which had to be destroyed by Noah's flood. Hope that helps.

Perfect in the Hebrew tamiym & when translated reads:- complete, whole, entire, sound.

Now, you get the picture? It's not referring to Noah as being 'Perfect' in deeds/words nor Action. Just that he's a Human Being. However ever wondered why GOD says Noah is a perfect 'Human Being' (NOT ACTIONs/Word/ Deeds)

Gen 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gen 6:6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

The 'sons of God' in this sense are the fallen angels. The only time the Hebrew for this phrase 'sons of God' is used in the OT it is referring to angels. Evidently, these angels took human form and married human women, producing offspring which were giants.

Jude also talks about these angels in the epistle of Jude, as does Peter in 2 Peter 2. As you read through the OT, you will see that God's angels occasionally take human form. Evidently, fallen angels did the same thing in Genesis 6.
