I'd like to see an option where we just discuss all things Christian. A general forum, sometimes seeking advice, sometimes seeking mild debate. And basic ecumenical fellowship. Sometimes serious sometimes less serious.

I have no specific proposal in mind, but I agree with your basic point. We have now gotten to the point where there are so many 'safe houses' here from which non-members of whatever denomination or political preference are barred that I never read a post anymore from dozens of members who used to post in the forums where all of us participated together.

And, to make matters worse, several of the church groups have succeeded in getting CF to create different forums for liberal, conservative, or something else VERSIONS of that particular denomination so that the users don't have to engage with even other members of their own denomination.
