I'm nearly 23 years old but my birthday is September 27th 2009
I joined this community because I figured it would be better than Yahoo Answers when I have a question about God!
I grew up in NJ and am now living in Australia with my fiance and his family. One of the reasons I'm choosing to live the rest of my life with this man is because he helped save my soul.
We met at a Christian camp in 2007. My family and I had been going to the camp for years, as a camper and counsellor, and although I loved it dearly, I was not truly a Christian.
Shortly before my "summer fling" returned to Australia, we had a very serious talk. If we wanted the relationship to go on, we'd have to be very committed and serious about it. And one thing that had to change, in order to make it work, was my Faith.
The love of my life prayed for me that night, and it really affected me, and I realised something he was that passionate about had to be important. Since then I've been on a huge spiritual journey. My faith will never stop growing.
We got engaged January 2009 and are planning a wedding for January 2011 (you need a very long time to sort things out when you're dealing with different countries and Visas, unless it's a very small wedding).
Neither of us had been baptised since we gave our lives to God, and we wanted to make it "official", so we got baptised together on September 27th, 2009.
Listening to or singing worship music is when I feel closest to God. Or sometimes in the middle of the night when He's keeping me up with all the thoughts in my head. I prefer the music, but God works through me in ways He knows will best affect me!
