  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

  • The rule regarding AI content has been updated. The rule now rules as follows:

    Be sure to credit AI when copying and pasting AI sources. Link to the site of the AI search, just like linking to an article.

Well hi. I'm new here and I figured it would be polite to introduce myself. A friend of mine referred me here. She'll probably post something to that effect.

I'm a mod on another forum, so I know how these things work. I'll do my best to obey the rules and all that good stuff. If I become a prominent member, the rest of you will get a good feel for my personality.

I write a lot, and if I can find a forum for it here, I may or may not post some of my works. Be warned though, some of them may not be liked by some members. That's okay though. Everyone has opinions.

Glad to be aboard.

:wave:Welcome to CF! There's something for everyone here. It's an amazing, complex place.

Something that helped me a LOT when I joined was to go to my Control Panel at the top of the page, and go to Edit Options. About three screens down you'll see some options to add titles and URLs for the "Custom Navbar". As you find forums on CF that you want to participate in, put their URL as one of your custom navbar URLs. That way, it will show up on the top of your screen each time you visit, and will act as a quick shortcut to the forums you visit the most.

I look forward to getting to know you as you post in the community.

Sorry I haven't been on to reply. I've been busy trying to get my own site up and running. It's rather time-consuming.

Anyway, thank you all for the friendly welcomes. I'm still just browsing the forums to get a feel for the place. I'll post when I find my little niche.
