  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think the gap theory is when some believe there is a gap of a grace dispensation between the 69th and 70th week of Daniel.
I think at the end of the 70th week is when there is suppose to be an end of sin, and the new covenant starts?
I believe ( for now anyays LOL) that the new covenant has started, so the 70 weeks are over.

oh and I dont think it is Biblical because I think everything that happens now has been laid out in the law, Jesus being the passover etc... and I dont see a grace dispensation period refered to by the law? I dont know for sure though because I am still studying.

I dont believe for one second that God would have something that " was never before spoken/WRITTEN about" happen. How would one know it was of God then?
To what scripture would one compare it and back it up?

Paul may have spoke about things that people never before *knew*(understood) but they were certainly wrote about.

Just what is the "gap theory", is it Biblical?, do you believe it?
The Gap Theory states that there is an unknown length of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, allowing for aeons of evolution therein. Supposedly God had created the heavens and the earth but they "became" (instead of "was") formless and chaotic. This was allegedly when all the death and mutations and evolving took place. Then, allegedly, God fixed it all up and got on with the business of doing it right the second try.

Obviously I neither believe it nor hold it to be Biblical.

It can be found in the notes of C. I. Scofield's Reference Bible.
