  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

PC, definately. Current consoles, PS2 simply because it has more games that I like than X-Box does. xb has too many FPS's and sports games and not enough RPGs.

PC always has higher quality graphics and more selection of games. Other than that I'd go with Xbox for it's simplicity and affordability as far as the Xbox unit goes. PC may cost more but you get better performance and games are often less expensive. You also have more longevity with PC games since they are easy to update and expand upon.

The PC, because I prefer mouse-and-keyboard to joypad, and more options.

Ditto, although I prefer the joystick for flying and vehicle missions and games (I've got a Microsoft Side Winder - no force feedback though :sigh: ). A Xbox is just a mini computer when it comes down to it. You must buy a new gaming console for improved performance, while you can simply upgrade the specific part for the computer. They say that as soon as you've brought a piece of computer technology it's already out of date...

My favorite of all consoles was PS. While PS2 is a close second (love Dynasty warriors) yet it seem to have less variety than PS. This probably because of the cost. Bill Gate claims the next generation systems will even cost more to produce. I'm always more of a PC gamer even back in the C64 days.

I lioke PCs but it still doesn't get the console game feel, and it laking in Japanese games like Square Enix, and Atlas, so favorite console PS2 game varity and quality, get 10s but graphix get a 7 compared to pc and xbox.

There are certain genres which are almost completely absent from PCs. Mostly ones that play best away from a desk and with a gamepad, not surprisingly... Platformers, Japanese RPGs and action RPGs, fighting games, etc.

I'll second that. :D

I actually disagree. I prefer a keyboard to a controller in any game that does not require more than two axis of movement (flight sims are aweful w/ a keyboard). And I would much rather be able to play all my favorite games on the same thing I do my homework on, check my email on, etc. because it's so much easier just having one machine that does everything.
