I experience His mercy and grace daily and because of Jesus, ( Hebrews 10:17 I'll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins. ) I am forgiven and therefore through the Holy Spirit I can approach Him and be in His presence as often as I want.

We all know this is true, because we all live here on this planet. We can also look up into space and see the stars and planets.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'"

Which is also true because if it weren't then the dolphins would run for president, the apes would hunt us for trophies, we would be dog's best friend.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

God is our "safe haven". God energizes us when we most need it.
It is great to know that when we are in trouble we can turn to God.
He is always there waiting for us to seek Him and His wisdom.

Psalm 103: 8-14 "The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. God is love, and love is about relationships. However, unlike in the human realm where both parties must strive to be true to the relationship and try to keep love strong, God is the perfect love partner, the perfect model of a loving soul, and the ultimate source of both our desire for love and forgiveness for when we fail to love. The 103rd Psalm has always been special to me because of the glorious picture it paints of God's love for us. His love is described as astronomical in its magnitude (think of what that means!). His forgiveness of our sins is on the order of half of this planet's size! He is patient and gracious, and though He knows us better than we know ourselves, still He has compassion for us. And like anyone in a loving relationship He is willing to sacrifice for the other party, and so He did, by sacrificing His only Son.

Adam Clarke's Commentary states:

"The source of wisdom, knowledge, holiness, and happiness; and in him is no darkness at all - no ignorance, no imperfection, no sinfulness, no misery. And from him wisdom, knowledge, holiness, and happiness are received by every believing soul. This is the grand message of the Gospel, the great principle on which the happiness of man depends.

Light implies every essential excellence, especially wisdom, holiness, and happiness. Light is the purest, the most subtile, the most useful, and the most diffusive of all God’s creatures; it is, therefore, a very proper emblem of the purity, perfection, and goodness of the Divine nature."

It is upon us to walk in the light so we can have communion with God.

These verses show me how deep God's love for me truly is and that regardless of my situation I'm never alone. One dictionary defines redeem as "To set free; rescue or ransom" it goes on to further define it as "To restore the honor, worth, or reputation of." God loved me enough to give Jesus for my ransom. As a single woman I've often struggled with my self-worth and self-image. Before I submitted to Christ I would go through bouts of depression wondering "why won't anyone love me." This almost always ended in me becoming involved in an unhealthy relationship that would further damage my self esteem. After reading this scripture was able to see how special I am to God, and how much He love's me.

It truely tells us how much God loves us. You only have to imagine sacraficing your own child to realy have it hit home. Imagine sacrificing your own child in the worse way possible...and He would do it again just for you...a very humbling thought

God has proved faithful in my life more times than I can begin to count. He restored my marriage, provided financially when the world said there was no way, healed my husband of cancer, saved my daughter and son's life. I could go on, but would probably cause the server to crash. God has NEVER let me down. He may not have always answered in the way I expected, bu He ALWAYS answers.

Psalm 19:1-2:

I love the mountains and forests, the sound and feel of running water, and the fresh breeze on my cheeks as I watch the clouds float across the sky. They are just one of the ways that God chooses to speak to me.
