Half Life 2 will undoubtedly be the best game ever made for a long time to come. only Doom 3 can even come close to matching the insane Graphics this engine will pump out. specks of dust and the like. that level of detail, and oh so much more. teh Physics engine will be unmatched for perhaps years to come. everything in the game will be moveable or destroyable, etc. I don't even KNOW all the cool stuff that's going to be in this game, but I've seen 2 HL2 movies, and it is an amazing game even at 640 X 480.

HL2 just isn't exciting me for some reason. Maybe it's because I thought the original was nice, but way overrated. Maybe this one will be great. The screenshots are certainly pretty.

I think as far as FPS's next year, F.E.A.R. could be a sleeper...like Painkiller was this year.
