First off, let me say that you should go to www.oneupstudios.com and pre-order the new album they are releasing, it sounds awesome!
Is anybody else here a fan of the One Up Studios or KFSS Studios?
For those that don't know, these are two small companies/groups who rearrange videogame music into many different styles and forms. They only sell their CD's online, so most people haven't heard of them. KFSS as released two albums, on called Project Majestic Mix ( a collection of remixes of Nobuo Uematsu music, the man who does the music for Final Fantasy games), and Squaredance (a collection of remixes from different Squaresoft games).
One Up Studios has only released one, called Time and Space. It is a group of remixes from Crono Trigger, Crono Cross, and Xenogears. There new album, which is available for pre-order right now, is called The Very Best of Sega. they are arranging tunes in many idffernt styles from different Sega videogames such as Sonic Racing, Skies of Arcadia, Panzer Dragoon, and BurnOut. They are extremely talented musicians, and if you like videogame music at all you should check their stuff out.
If actually buying music isn't your thing, you can visit Overclocked Remix, where remixers submit there arrangments of music from various videogames (ranging from little known games like Bananas on the NES to new games such as Metal Gear Solid 2), and if they are good enough they are posted on the site for free downloading. There is music there to match any style you may be into.
So am I alone in my love for videogame music?
