Game Maker users????

Anyone here ever tried using Game Maker? It's an excellent program, it makes developing 2D games, platform, shooter, adventure, etc., relatively easy.

ah, my friends used this and made a megaman game. its pretty cool. but i am trying to figure out how to use RPG maker 2

I tried a few like it before, and didn't find them half as easy as advertised. I actually think it's easier to go learn C++ and make a game by actually programming.

I started learning C++ at one time, way back in high school. But I didn't have the time. Game Maker has an easy point and click, drag and drop interface. But it also has a built in language if you want to get more complex. Plus it has a handy sprite editor, room editor.... I've had a lot of fun with that program.

I used a program called the games factory to make a game about a fellow co-worker and his troubles in life. It was a platform based game that you had to run around the woods jump over porcupines and fight bears n' stuff. it was really messed up.

Try Macromedia Director.

Loads of drag and drop plus Lingo scripting.

It now understands 3D vectors too

Not easy, but could lead to a career in Multimedia development.

All pro Multimedia developers use it. which = expensive

But using it you can make simply games and the publish to CD ROM or the web (using shockwave plugin).
