That is a redundant statement. Believeing in Christ IS our faith, not the source of our faith.

Our faith comes from God. Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." St. Paul writes in Romans 10:17, "So then faith comesby hearing, and hearing by the word of God." The proclamation of the Gospel is one of the means by which the Holy Spirit calls, gathers, enlightens, sactifies, and keeps us in the faith. The work of the Holy Spirit is to point us to Christ, always to Christ.

Is not this most certainly true?
