Isn't it because of all the cake I keep taking by asking all those long questions that you say take the cake even though I don't see what cake has to do with asking questions unless the question is "can I have some more cake" unless you haven't had any cake previously in which case you would ask "can I have some cake" and not "can I have some more cake"?
