What we are "without excuse" for is that we are created, sinners at heart and in the need of a savior.. That is written on all of our hearts.

Watch a two year old... even it knows when it is being mean, lying, doing something that it should not.. Even though it cannot grasp the concept of the gospel... it is sinning and knows it's doing things that it shouldn't.

Every human that has lived will be held to that. .Whether due to someone telling them, the scripture, or... the magnificent display this earth provides that is proof of our creator.

Yes, 2-year old's can hardly put more than a few words together, and that is the very intelligent ones. So how can they lie, which requires that they know the truth, and choose to be deliberately deceptive?

A prophecy is for a prophet to foretell a near future then for God to reveal a far away future. For example, the desolation of the first Temple was prophesied by Jeremiah and Daniel, used by Jesus to foretell the desolation of the second Temple, then for God to foretell possible the down of our earthly Church when the very end comes.

The Bible has a meaning of how God knows the beginning and the end. It's not a Bible to say that God only knows the beginning till AD 70, then leaves a blank for what should happen after. Genesis marks the beginning while Revelation marks the end of this world.

That said. Disregarding what your perception is about the anticipation of the apostles, whatever Jesus said and revealed through John is for God to foretell the far end.

Don't underestimate children.... Just because they cannot talk well.

Ask a two year old if they hit their sister.... they will say no...

Why?

1/ They know it's wrong
2/ They don't want to be disciplined.
3/ Lying may get them out of paying for their wrong.

I have seen one of my kids at about 2 years old.. yank a toy from their siblings hands and make them cry.. When I asked why they took "Fred's" toy.. they themselves cried..... knowing they were caught, knowing they hurt "Fred's" feelings... Feeling bad because they are genetically programed to feel remorse.

There is nothing in this book that even remotely makes any sense. What is truly amazing is that so many people purport to know what the crazy things mean, and quote it so much.
