I love this sort of thread. What are some irresistably cute or hysterically funny things your kids have said lately?

My ds is 6 and is suddenly very interested in the litergy at church. Asks all kinds of questions and studies the bulletin. So, recently they were passing the offering plate and he loudly whispered, "What are the envelops for?" You know how kids whisper. Too loud. So I hushed him and whispered that I'd explain it later. Not to be detered, He loudly whispers again,

"Oh. I bet I know. I bet it is so that if someone wants to be stingy not everyone around will realize it."

Everyone within 5 pews cracked up laughing.

My oldest is finally getting into playing hide and go seek. The only thing is that when she hides and we say now where is Kaitlyn...she comes running out of her hiding spot yelling "I found me". My husband and I crack up every time!

My 5yod was playing with a pair of fake plastic glasses. I told her "You look like Larry King", to which she replied "Who???" I explained that Larry King was a guy on TV. she kept asking "which guy?" I didn't know how to explain it except to say that he's just a guy you can see on TV a lot. So she asked "do you mean Larry the Cucumber???"

a couple more:

she asked where her barbies were...i told her they were in her toybox

"why are they THERE??"

'because thats where they belong'

"they do not!!"

im not exactly sure where she thinks her toys belong but its NOT in the toybox apparently

we went to the store the other day and she decided she needed another new toy...she had already gotten two this week, so her mom said no, and that two was enough

"but three is MORE than two!!"

we arent really sure why this was supposed to entitle her to another toy this week, but she certainly was adamant about three being more than two...it didnt work however...she still didnt get a toy :p

"if there was no such thing as sad or mad...i would be very very happy!"

her: where is the place where we buy things?

mom: its over here, you like to buy things dont you?

her: yes...it is my destiny

We keep our five year old granddaughter and her 16 month old brother while their mother goes to night school.

One night, while she was still awake, about the time for her mother to come get her, she said "Don't tell Mommy I had a snack tonight."  We asked her why and she said, "Cause if you tell her, she won't give me one when we get home."
