There isn't even anything to object to. We know they don't really dislike Halloween because people come to their door. That's what makes it funny. Too bad you don't see the humor.

There is nothing to object. It is just humor. It wasn't mean spirited. I laugh at catholic jokes, baptist jokes, etc.

It struck me as especially funny because I spent some time growing up with JWs

One of the really good things about living where I do is that no one can knock on my door and solicit me for anything. I am on the top floor. The entrance to the building is held by a maglock and requires a prox card to open. The stairwell also has a maglock. The elevator is only accessible from the front entryway and also requires a prox card.

Dunno what it's like over there but over here the fire department and police have a stack of emergency keys for such buildings in their district.

If that fails they'll just bash in the door, I suppose.

I have panic buttons in three places and a phone ap that will unlock everything. The fire alarm and sprinkler system also unlock the outside doors.
