In the paper today was this photo of one of our MO state House reps entering the Capitol chamber. A gas mask? Really? This has to be one of 2 things:

1) He's a ridiculous buffoon.
2) He's protesting contagion precautions he thinks are silly.

OTOH, he can't touch his face. And he probably can't make long-winded speeches. As I think about it, maybe everyone in the legislature should be wearing one.

Health officials have urged Americans to stop buying masks out of concern of a shortage for health care workers, and Vice President Mike Pence, whose office is in charge of coronavirus-related messaging, reiterated the point during a press briefing earlier Wednesday, saying that "there is no need for Americans to buy masks" to protect themselves.
