Fun with the Flood math.

Obviously you knew how I was going to reply, id est:

I'm impressed.
Now that you are back, AV, do you have an answer to why God hid the geological traces of the Flood (and before you start: NO, that does NOT equal removing the water.)?

God didn't "hide" anything.

He "cleaned up the mess" for sanitary and safety reasons.

For instance, the dinosaurs would have been too heavy to walk on the water-saturated ground.

Germs, of course, would have flourished with all those dead bodies around.

You get the point.

Nature, by itself, would not have been able to do the job as efficiently.

This is why I say God could have sent twice as much water, and we'd never find it.

I.e., he poofed the water out of existance. So, what happened to all the evidence that should exist? Why did he poof that out as well?

For instance, the dinosaurs would have been too heavy to walk on the water-saturated ground.
Even the little ones?

Germs, of course, would have flourished with all those dead bodies around.
They were submerged. The 'germs' would of the deep-sea variety, and wouldn't have been much of a threat to humanity.

Yes, but why did he clean up the geological traces as well - lake varves that go on undisturbed straight through the supposed flood, for example? Nobody would have even noticed if he had left the disturbance the way it was.

For instance, the dinosaurs would have been too heavy to walk on the water-saturated ground.
Dinosaurs survived the Flood? I thought they were left behind by Noah.

Germs, of course, would have flourished with all those dead bodies around.
What dead bodies? They were underwater for a year, after all - they were skeletons at best.

You get the point.

Nature, by itself, would not have been able to do the job as efficiently.

This is why I say God could have sent twice as much water, and we'd never find it.
He could have also sent half the water and we would find it - with God, all things are possible, after all. Strange that he didn't want us to.

Job, Noah's descendant, mentions dinosaurs.
No, he mentions a large animal with a tail that moves like a cedar. But anyway, when did they become extinct then?

Good point --- very good point.
Thank you. Do you now agree that there was no need to make the fossils disappear?

I don't really know. I would guess that most went extinct during the "Ice Age".

If Behemoth and Leviathan were "kinds" (which they probably were), then they naturally "faded away".

Thank you. Do you now agree that there was no need to make the fossils disappear?

No, why?

How did we go from skeletons to fossils?

not only the tail of a cedar, but fairly large testicles, as well. there is no way that Job's creature is a reptile

Except he didn't, he had humans write it for him. Lazy god, can't even make a book on his own?

Oh, really?

He gave us Ten Commanments in His own handwriting, and we don't follow them today.

What makes you think He's going to give us the whole Bible in His handwriting?

Notice the reaction from Belshazzar when God wrote on the wall in Babylon?

[bible]Daniel 5:6[/bible]

I imagine some people today would do the same thing --- wet their pants.

Oh fantastic, he gave us 10 paragraphs out of 10000.

Because he's an omnipotent God that can make anything instantly?

Do you want Him to put an instant end to liars, murders, and thieves as well?

Was just wondering if you are trying to be a Hubbard wannabe, or just aping him.

... hahahahahaha, sad. My Custom Title is an inside joke with me and a friend and I don't see why you have to pull that out in a discussion about the Flood.

It would be the same for me to start rambling about... say your mother in a completely nonsensical way, while discussing the Big Bang with you.
