• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have struggled with an eating disorder for so long and I`m feeling somewhat hopeless right now. I have reached different levels of recovery over the years but never complete recovery. I`ve been wondering if there is" Full Recovery" or is this something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life? I welcome your input on this.

I don't know the answer to your question of full recovery. I will say that I believe you can be healthy and have minimal struggles at the very least to where your lifestyle is first nature rather than 2nd nature. I will pray for you to have full recovery.

Welcome.
I think thats a hard one to answer. I do know for me it is an on going battle, but then is that the choice i make? Thats the part i am unsure of. I think just having my head above water so to speak is as far as i am willing to go for now......yes i too have been at different levels, but i have never been totally free, nor am i sure i can be....its where i feel the safest.
