“May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;”
We receive the mind of Christ by the renewal of the Holy Spirit to fully experience the Love of God in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you,
being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height;
19 to know (experience) the love of Christ which passes knowledge;
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us,
21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
The Father's Heart For Poor, the Oppressed, the Downtrodden…
Luke 14:
12 Then He also said to him who invited Him, When you give a dinner or a supper,
do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors,
lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.
13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.
14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you;
for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.
The Widow, the Orphan, and the Stranger hold a special place in the Father’s Heart
James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this:
to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Deuteronomy 27:19 Cursed is the one who perverts justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and widow.
And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself
Romans 13:
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,”
“You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment,
are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The Greater Love Among The Brethren Beloved
John 15:
12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing;
but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit,
and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
17 These things I command you, that you love one another.
The Fullness of the Love of God Found In Christ
Matthew 22:
35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
The Law and the Prophets Fulfilled, and the Love of God experienced
in Christian Charity towards one another, and the people of the Father’s heart.
