One word - mediation. Worked well for me and my ex - we only used one atty who congratulated us on being adults. We did have the agreement reviewed by our personal attys but that took my guy all of 10 minutes. Cheap, no fuss, no muss and minimal conflict - I had birthday cake with my ex and her husband last night.

I appreciate your advice. But, unfortunately, both parties need to want to get along. My ex wants to fight. He told me when I left him that he was going to make it his personal mission to make my life miserable.

How can some people be so mean?

I wish I knew, Mark. The only answer I have is that some people are fueled by anger. My ex has completely lost sight of the only thing that matters - the children. I blame that on the anger that he has not bothered to address/resolve.
