I love fruits basket I read some at a book store and got adicted I've already bought 4 books and read them all already (I read one in the book store). Yuki-Kun and Ayame-Kun are the best.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I loved the anime but had problems getting the manga where I live so haven't kept up with it.
It is a wonderful storyline though

Fruits Basket is what go me into Manga. I thought about collecting the series on DVD, I rented vol 1 and didn't live up to the manga. Just rent only for me.

The anime was done way before the manga was close to finished (well neither manga is finished as I write this to my knowledge) so there are similarities in the beginning but as the manga progresses it doesn't take long to get beyond the small bit covered in the anime.

I've actually read the manga (to book 11) and watched the anime (to episode 26) for this series, and I love it.
I like Kyo, Momiji, Haru, Hiro, Hatori, Shigure, Hana, and Yuki. They all make me smile

Ive only read the manga...but its about this family that is cursed and they all turn into their Zodiac animals when they are weak or hugged by a member of the opposite sex who isnt family. Tohru is a girl who meets them and starts living with them.

Much humor is involved with the transforming, and the storyline is very poignant. The characters are very well thought out and not flat. It's hard to go beyond what skatepixie said without giving spoilers.

manga by far, but the anime did a pretty good job with getting the character's personalities developed. One of my favorite scenes involves Tohru's friends visiting her at the Sohma house. Priceless.
