2 To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
2 写信给在哥林多 神的教会，就是在基督耶稣里成圣、蒙召作圣徒的，以及所有在各处求告我主耶稣基督之名的人。基督是他们的主，也是我们的主。
CALLED TO BE SAINTS

What a way to start a letter.
多么好的方式开始这一封信。
First of all, we are sanctified in Christ Jesus, in the Greek it is used as a noun and means Holy People, we are as Peter says later in his epistle in chapter 2:
首先，我们在基督耶稣里成圣，在希腊语中它被用作名词，意思是圣民，正如彼得在他的书信第 2 章后面所说的那样：
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
9 但你们是蒙拣选的族类，是君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国民，是属于祂的子民，为要宣扬那召你们出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。
Why are we a holy people, because we are called to be saints, or to be holy. Corinth was one of the worst places to be a Christian, it was full of sin and idols and temples to false Gods and yet here were a people who were holy to the Lord, who were to live lives that were worthy of their high calling.
为什么我们是圣洁的子民，因为我们蒙召成为圣徒，成为圣洁的。 哥林多是最不适合基督徒的地方之一，它充满了罪恶、偶像和假神的圣殿，然而这里有一群归主为圣的人，他们要过一种配得上他们崇高呼召的生活。
Look at the phrase Peter uses in the verse above, to proclaim the excellencies of Him, don't you just love that, why have we been saved?

We are a church set apart by God, a chosen people and a royal priesthood, why so that we who are called to be saints can show forth the glorious excellencies of the one who called us.

Let's do that every day and show the world that Jesus lives.. in us

THE PLUMBLINE TEST
准绳测试
“Thus, he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more…Amos 7:7-8.”
“他又指示我一件事，有一道墙是按准绳建筑的，主手拿准绳站在其上。耶和华对我说，阿摩司阿，你看见甚么？我说，看见准绳。主说，我要吊起准绳在我民以色列中，我必不再宽恕他们……阿莫斯书 7:7-8”
God is the perfect standard for all things. He is love, He is mercy, He is grace. He isn't just loving or merciful or gracious. A plumbline is a measurement of how straight something like a wall is, and God has a plumbline and it comes in two ways. Firstly, God's perfect plumbline is Jesus. He is the perfect one, you think you are someone, you think you are good, but when you measure yourself against Jesus, your life looks like a broken-down wall. Your righteousness is all dirty rags.
上帝是万物的完美标准。他是爱，他是怜悯，他是恩典。他不仅仅是有爱心，仁慈，高尚。准绳是用来测量像墙这样的东西有多直，上帝有一条准绳，它有两种方式。首先，上帝完美的准绳是耶稣。他是完美的，你认为你是一个人，你认为你很好，但当你拿自己和耶稣相比时，你的生活看起来就像一堵倒塌的墙。你的正义都是肮脏的破布。
Every time we consider and look at Jesus, our actions are judged by his plumbline of complete truth. Let me give you an example. Do you get angry? I know I do. Jesus got angry at the moneylenders in the temple. Now to do that wasn't wrong. What about us, when we get angry? We need to be angry about what God is angry about; anything else fails the plumbline test.
每当我们考虑和注视耶稣的时候，我们的行为都是由他那完全真理的铅垂线来判断的。让我给你举个例子，你会生气吗？我知道我有。耶稣对会堂里放债的人发怒。这样做并没有错。那我们呢，当我们生气的时候？我们需要对上帝生气的事生气；其他的都不能通过准绳测试。
The second plumbline is the word of God. Hebrews 4 12 says, For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [g]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
第二条准绳是上帝的话。希伯来书4章12节说：“因为上帝所说的道是活的，充满能力[使他是活泼的，有效的，有活力的，有效的]；它比任何双刃剑都要锋利，刺入生命气息(灵魂)与不朽精神、关节与骨髓(我们天性最深处)的分界线，揭露、筛选、分析和判断内心的思想和目的”。
Everything we do is to be aligned to the Word of God. The word of God cuts everything down to the bone; it searches out the hidden things, we try to hide. Have you ever done something and thought well no one has seen that, but then you read in your daily bible reading something and the Holy Spirit has taken it and convicted you? That is God's plumbline. You have come below God's perfect plumbline.
我们所做的每一件事都要与上帝的道保持一致。上帝的话能剪除万物，直到骨头；它寻找隐藏的东西，我们试图隐藏。你有没有做过一件事，以为没人看见过，但你在每天读圣经的时候读到一些东西，圣灵就取走了它，给你定罪？那是上帝的准绳。你已经在上帝完美的准绳之下了。
God has a plumbline, and our lives are judged by that plumbline. How level is your life in light of the plumblines of the Living Word and Written Word?
上帝有一条准绳，我们的生活就由这条准绳来判断。根据生活世界和文字世界的准绳，你的生活水平如何？
