The post that is replying to literally starts “How would you know what place takes food stamps where I live?”Why are you dodging the question?
In all states, actually, LoL.Not in your state, but in others.
I’m happy you think the food needs of others is a laughing matter. Odd, but ok.
Nah...why don't you rest? I'll always say that Catholics should never--in any way--participate in abortion.I think you guys are getting a bit wound up and maybe need to take a pause, LoL.
Still think it’s funny? Weird, but ok.In all states, actually, LoL.
Super.Guess what? I’ll follow my own conscience.
I’m sure they will. The doctors and hospitals will do what is right.
I’m screaming…?Scream all you want.
It won’t change anything.
Amen! Anti-Catholicism is the last bigotry that is still accepted by society. Most liberals absolutely DESPISE Catholics.Nah...why don't you rest? I'll always say that Catholics should never--in any way--participate in abortion.
… What…?If you're dodging it because you're Muslim, I would understand. No problem.
I’m not jumping on the pro-abortion bandwagon because it’s all about ME ME ME.Super.
I’m sure they will.
I’m screaming…?
Never?No. No. No.
Totally wrong.
Deliberate taking of another’s life is never ok.
The church does not supersede what the regulations are, but ok.The Church teaches that and all hospitals affiliated with the Church MUST uphold that.
Again with the Muslim fixation…I wonder how you would respond if that happened at a Muslim hospital.
Nope.Never?
The church does not supersede what the regulations are, but ok.
Again with the Muslim fixation…
If what happened at a Muslim hospital?
I absolutely think that talking about the Hippocratic Oath without understanding what it is is very, very funny. You think life and death is a funny matter?
A surprisingly woke sentiment, I’m impressed. You need to check your privilege.
I can be grateful I’m alive and thankful for abortion access all at the same time, especially given I owe my life to the ability to get D&Cs when I needed them.Be grateful you’re alive, unlike the million of unborn babies all slaughtered in the name of “choice.”
Ok.I absolutely think that talking about the Hippocratic Oath without understanding what it is is very, very funny.
A surprisingly woke sentiment, I’m impressed.
That said, I checked it, it’s fine.
I can be grateful I’m alive and thankful for abortion access all at the same time, especially given I owe my life to the ability to get D&Cs when I needed them.

Noted.I'll always say that Catholics should never--in any way--participate in abortion.
I don’t understand how wanting to protect others, especially those most vulnerable, is somehow irrational, but you do you.Actually, good call. You guys have clearly gotten yourself wound up to a level that isn’t conducive to a rational discussion. Maybe when things have settled down I’ll see if it’s worthwhile to jump back in. Right now, I’m taking the Keanu Reeves approach. He said something along the lines of “I’m at the stage in life where I don’t argue with people. Even if you say 2+2=5, you’re right. Have fun.”
So, you’re right, 2+2=5, have fun.
Noted.
Can't anyone just leave the Catholics alone? The relatively few employers are well known to employees when they take the job. They do not pay for EVERY form of birth control out there; this should be a shock to none. From the article: All but two Republicans voted against the Senate bill, which opponents claimed was not only unnecessary but problematic, in that it failed to protect religious freedom for employers and providers who believe contraception is immoral.
Trying to make Catholic hospitals give out contraception. Glad it failed.
Many liberals are Catholics. The Church itself takes a liberal position on a number of social issues. But nobody despises Catholics like Evangelicals. They've been doing it for 200 years.Amen! Anti-Catholicism is the last bigotry that is still accepted by society. Most liberals absolutely DESPISE Catholics.
It depends if they are practicing or not. Many liberals are Catholics. The Church itself takes a liberal position on a number of social issues. But nobody despises Catholics like Evangelicals. They've been doing it for 200 years.
Agreed! Let us practice our faith in peace without government interference! Can't anyone just leave the Catholics alone? The relatively few employers are well known to employees when they take the job. They do not pay for EVERY form of birth control out there; this should be a shock to none.
I've experienced this quite a few times. Someone in the forum will refer to transgender people as abhorrent, or mentally ill. And I'll ask them directly if they would say that to me about my relative in some social situation. And the back peddling is furious. 'Oh no. I'm not talking about your family. I'm not suggesting that your niece/nephew/sister is evil or mentally unstable.' They find it's quite easy to say the things they do in the anonymity of the forum. They say things they wouldn't dare say to a colleague or a friend or even to a total stranger face to face, who has experienced what a loved one has gone through and what they have had to put up with. They wouldn't because they know what the reaction would likely be. Post it on a forum and they don't get to see the frustration and the pain. And the anger.Even though you were the one who brought up your grandson and another family member that identifies as transgender - making them "fair game" in my opinion - I felt bad and hope you know that I wasn't trying to claim that they are "wicked" or that you are a bad person or anything.
I don't disagree with what I said - that transgenderism is a mental illness, and we should not encourage children to accept their delusion - but I won't be referring to or addressing any comment about your family anymore.
Don't play that game with me. Look up any dictionary definition. You'll not be able to find any article, medical paper or dictionary definition anywhere on the planet that doesn't explain the difference between biological sex and gender. But I guess you'll just do what others do in this situation and point to lists that someone has come up with of umpteen variations on a theme and say that gee, it's just all too complicated. You want to keep it in the Too Hard Basket so that you don't have to address it.Well - I would argue that no one seems to - since they keep flip flopping on it over and over.
Thanks for your personal opinion. It doesn't actually align with reality but that's a problem that you'll have to solve. There are "engendered" words and roles - but as far as I am concerned "gender" does not exist.
And yet it's conservatives who want children to have "the right" to get married.I see them sexualizing children while trying to convince them to remove their sexual organs.
Conservatives want to protect children and women.
