You both are, but hey, you do you.He isn't wrong though.
The whole “won’t somebody think of the children” hyperbole doesn’t work on me.Should I just be quiet when this affects minors?
Nothing says “I look out for women” like advocating deceptive medical practices and allowing their employers to decide their medical care, lol. From the article: All but two Republicans voted against the Senate bill, which opponents claimed was not only unnecessary but problematic, in that it failed to protect religious freedom for employers and providers who believe contraception is immoral.
Trying to make Catholic hospitals give out contraception. Glad it failed.
That's sad.The whole “won’t somebody think of the children” hyperbole doesn’t work on me.
An excellent argument for separating health coverage from employment. Single payer. From the article: All but two Republicans voted against the Senate bill, which opponents claimed was not only unnecessary but problematic, in that it failed to protect religious freedom for employers and providers who believe contraception is immoral.
Trying to make Catholic hospitals give out contraception. Glad it failed.
You think it is appropriate for schoolteachers to be discussing their sexuality with their students? Keeping secrets from their parents? You both are, but hey, you do you.
Some people only care about pushing an agenda, they don't care who it hurts.I think it is appropriate for schoolteachers to be discussing their sexuality with their students? Keeping secrets from their parents?
You think children can consent to puberty blockers, hormones and elective surgeries that will change their lives forever?
I'm blaming the designer. I know it was evolution, because you really want to make sure the sex drive is paramount for the survival of one's genes. But God didn't need to make it feel as good as it does and He didn't need to flood the body with testosterone and estrogen during the times when young men and women are least able to ignore their effects.Ever since Cain taught Satan about the needs/wants of the human body - sex has been a cornerstone of Satanism and self-worship.
If that's your reasoning, then you should scorn the practice of teachers telling children about LBGT issues--like many Christians do. Each parent should be able to decide if their child is taught that.If it's my minors, yes.
There is a lot to unpack here - but I will just try to address this generally.I'm blaming the designer. I know it was evolution, because you really want to make sure the sex drive is paramount for the survival of one's genes. But God didn't need to make it feel as good as it does and He didn't need to flood the body with testosterone and estrogen during the times when young men and women are least able to ignore their effects.
Ridiculous. What we need is some scientist to release a virus that will render all women barren. Then, rather than having to take a pill to stop getting pregnant, they need to take a pill if they want to get pregnant. Problem solved.
If you were to witness a minor being abused - not yours - you wouldn't say or do anything? If it's my minors, yes.
I think the Vatican had it at 12 not so long ago. The problem we all have is having some kids being given no information about sex until they are well past the age that they are able to have it. It's a bit late to tell your daughter how not to get pregnant after she's already become pregnant. If you think it is appropriate for children to be having sex - then you have a mess on your hands.
That was written with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. That said, it would certainly solve the abortion problem as there'd be no unwanted pregnancies.I don't think you have thought much about this.
I think what you mean by 'abused' and what I mean by it are worlds apart. If you were to witness a minor being abused - not yours - you wouldn't say or do anything?
For you, perhaps.That's sad.
But why make the sex drive the most powerful of all our desires? Exchanging some bodily fluids didn't have to be the desperate need that it is. Faulty design I say.He wants His children to have sexual relations within the bounds that He has set.
I don’t think sexuality is something scary. And I think comprehensive sex ed can’t happen if we don’t talk about sexuality openly.I think it is appropriate for schoolteachers to be discussing their sexuality with their students?
Depends on the secret.Keeping secrets from their parents?
You think children can consent to puberty blockers, hormones and elective surgeries that will change their lives forever?
Those of us who want educated kids don’t want our kids to get a lesser education because other people don’t want their kids to know that LGBTQA+ persons exist. There’s no logical reason to pretend an entire group of people don’t exist because they don’t want their kids to know about them.If that's your reasoning, then you should scorn the practice of teachers telling children about LBGT issues--like many Christians do. Each parent should be able to decide if their child is taught that.
You seem to agree with that - or something around there - being the legal age.I think the Vatican had it at 12 not so long ago.
I do not agree with that at all. Our society is saturated with it - making it common place. The problem we all have is having some kids being given no information about sex until they are well past the age that they are able to have it.
The parents have already failed for allowing their daughter to be in a situation to get pregnant in the first place. It's a bit late to tell your daughter how not to get pregnant after she's already become pregnant.
Thank goodness. That was written with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek.
I don't believe any of us would be here had it been that way. That said, it would certainly solve the abortion problem as there'd be no unwanted pregnancies.
