from non-denom to AMiA

I am an ordained deacon in a non-denom church. I'm feeling and discerning a call, and am interested in pursuing that call through the AMiA.
Has anyone here made the transition from ordained-in-one-denomination to pursuit of Holy Orders?

I think it may be a very good idea to start with chatting to your local priest about this and why you feel called to change.

What is AMiA? Is it an Anglican church?

You should become a regular worshipper in your church family before approaching the DDO.

Permanent deacons are not typical in the CofE - most deacons are ordained to the presbytery with the year. Anyone in the congregation can 'help' with the service.

Do you see yourself as a presbyter, incumbent in a parish? Or do you see yourself continuing to be a deacon? Or perhaps a pastoral worker, youth pastor?

Naomi, I know lots of permanent deacons in ECUSA.
Johnny, there's a man (whose name I can't think of right now) who was a church-planter with the Vineyard church and now is a bishop in AMiA. It's definitely possible.
