ok guys here's the latest update on her condition!!
It's good news and bad news.
Good news is the doctors at the hospital said she could go back home since her condition is now stable. And Linda(Wanying's sister), called a doctor from my church to go see them for the purpose of giving advice and views on wanying's situation and how to take care of wanying at home. So the doctor went to see her, otherwise no christian person is allowed in the room. She went in there and heard some buddhist music playing in the room. She was told that they play that for 24/7....:(...btw, this happened today 19 Feb just a few hours ago.

The bad news is that wanying is now quite a vegetable. Though when my doctor friend went there, she saw wanying throwing her arms quite forcefully at things, that means she has alot of strength. Also, she could speak some short sentences like "i want to go home" but they are not sure whether it's a direct response or a spontaneous outburst since her brain has been affected.

A few other reasons why wanying's condition is better is she can now pass out waste by her own..previously some kind of machine had to be used to assist in that when she was in hospital during the struggling period.

Right now the breathing apparatus that was stuck in her throat is taken out and doctors there will be stitching the hole back up and then she can go back home. However, Linda and her family plans to employ a maid to help take care of wanying too. Regarding the future, our christian doctor said that if wanying does not show any signs of improvement in the next 5 months, then it would be an 80% chance that she will stay that way. So i guess we should pray since there's still chance that she will recover much more.

In summary, she's heading home but she can't sit up by herself and has to be aided to do basic things like going to the toilet and washing up.

Lastly, i'd like to thank all who prayed for her in this forum. Your prayers were definitely heard and God has sustained her life. Now that God has planned to allow her to live, there must be something that God has planned that will benefit someone or some people(like her family) (Jer 29:11, 1 Pet 3:9)..I'm sure God has a plan and i hope you all can continue to pray that God will use wanying even in such a state. Thanks alot guys!

I've an elder brother who is mentally retarded, he has to be aided in the same way wanying has to be aided too. The only difference is he can move and walk like us. He can speak some words but most of his vocabulary is his own.
My brother was born like that because of the doctor who wasn't quick enough to do a caesarian section and thus the lack of oxygen in the brain.
Though this is a sad case and shouldn't have happened, yet i still thank the Lord for such a brother because if not for him, my parents and myself wouldn't be in such great faith and trust with the Lord. And if i were to choose whether i'll have a normal brother, i'll still choose the other since now i praise God that he has been a blessing to our family and also a blessing to others who see us as a family that is strong even though we have a mentally retarded person.

I wish the same for wanying who can be used by God in whatever way possible. Look at my signature for you know not what God can do.

For those who just came, look two posts up for the latest update on wanying.
