  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what does everybody think about this box set that Paramount is putting out?

i feel that its a good idea and i can not wait to have this box set in my collection. although i still would have liked Paramount to release the Dvds all uncut but i haven't seen to many of the friday the 13th series. i've only seen part 6 so i guess in a way it doesn't matter much to me. as long as i own the box set when it comes out on the '' 25th of October '' .

ps. if you go to this website you'll be able to see updated cover art pictures http://www.dvdfile.com/interactive/drive_in/galleries/fridaythe13th.html

why would you pick up the bare bone Dvds of the series?

when you can have a box set of the series! that makes no sense to me.
Like I said, I don't care much for extras (I rarely even listen to commentaries), so I have no problem buying barebone DVDs. Also, I only like parts 2, 4, 6, and 7 (sort of) of the series, so it's cheaper for me to buy them separately.

I have the first Halloween on DVD (it's the DiviMax version and I really should take the time to watch it--maybe this Halloween would be a good time?). I didn't care for the second one, the third one was so-so, and parts 4 to 6, "H20", and "Resurrection" I haven't seen.

1 is cool, I also liked the second. The others...just not worth watching. Well, unless they're on TV.
