P.S. April Fools' Day dates back to 1582, when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar, as called for by the Council of Trent in 1563. This was the year Pope Gregory eliminated 10 day in September to align the calendar with the seasons**.

Rome did much tampering with history to make it fit their extrabiblical dogma. Turning Saturnalia into Christmas, for one. John 1:14 in the Greek says the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us indicating Yeshua was born during Sukkot. And that it was the year 0000 (which does not exist).

** This did not affect the Hebrew calendar since they kept the same seven day week procession since Moses.

Most scholars agree Yeshua was born 3 - 7 BCE. And the scriptures say he was about 30 when he began his ministry.

Read it and weep and learn to count...

33 CE would make Yeshua 36 and on April fool's day.

30 CE lines up with scripture.
LOL, that proves nothing! You are assuming your dating is correct, which it isn't...

PS. Who cares when April fools day is, it has NOTHING to do with the discussion LOL!

But the Jewish calendar dates have everything tyo do with it.
There is no "April fools" on the Jewish calendar...there is Nisan 1 Rosh Chodesh begins the first month...but has nothing to do with any April fools day...

Majoring on an aside to repeatedly make a point exposes anemic content in your point.
I was merely suggesting that the much later (non-Jewish) reason there was an April Fools in the first place had to to with Christians at a later time who bought into the Roman Catholic Friday - Sunday version of 3 days and 3 nights. Which in 33 CE fell on what is now April 1st.

Your posts were anemic from the start so your point is meaningless, which was my original point.

Does the earth have an actual literal heart? It means dead and buried. It is a metaphor, an idiom, a figure of speech. Was Herod a literal fox when Yeshua called him that? Same with three days and 3 nights (where He also said on the third day and in three days). Three days and three nights were an "homage" to the story of Yonah. He compares His burial with being in the belly of the great sea beast! Yonah was in the "heart of the sea" (Jonah 2:2-3) just as Yeshua was in the "heart of the earth." Just as Yonah was "vomited" back so Yeshua was raised from His tomb. Yeshua said that the men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here." Ninevah was spared because they repented, but Yerushalayim was not spared...
Lord Jesus was teaching His disciples. He told them, “The Son of Man will be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after three days He will rise.”… (Mark 9:31)

That's about as definite as you can get. There is no hint of a metaphor or idiom there.

2 different passages. One includes it the other doesn't. If He would have said "like Yonah..." it would have been a metaphor...understand? "Days and nights" is a Hebrew/Aramaic idiom to inclusively describe a whole day as an indissoluble unit. As per Daniel 8:14 . Any part thereof from one sunset to the next is to be counted as the whole.

6 PM Friday to 6 AM Sunday = 3 days and 3 nights in your counting.
And you scoff at the message I shared?
Ha ha ha
Friday day 1 Sabbath day 2 and Sunday day 3. You can't count. Any part of a day is counted as a full day in Judaism. In Jewish communal life part of a day is reckoned as one day. The day of the funeral, even when the latter takes place late in the afternoon, is counted as the first of the seven days of mourning; a short time in the morning of the seventh day is counted as the seventh day; circumcision takes place on the eighth day, even though of the first day only a few minutes remained after the birth of the child, these being counted as one day. Plus the witnesses on the road to Emmaus positively prove you wrong.

But the Messiah didn't just say "days and nights". He specifically said that 3 days and 3 nights would be involved.

When there is darkness over the all land for three yamim during the day, it is both day and night: three yamim and three laylah. And unless one comes to understand and believe that a yom may be any increment of time, when it is used for time, according to context, (for yom is light), then he or she will not understand. The best place to start a reeducation of this is with the seven yamim of the sacred calendar day in the opening creation account.

The Messiah said that 3 nights would be involved with His time in the "heart of the earth". What do you believe He meant by the "heart of the earth"?

The "great fish" of Yonah would surely be a living creature.
The adam was taken from the adamah.

Because that what was in the story of Yonah. He also said "on the third day"...
