Freezing Celery

Since I work all week, weekends is usually when I do the bulk of my cooking and that means the freezer is my friend, including fresh cut up celery. The only difference is that when you cook the celery or even onions, is that they are a bit more watery when you sautee them, but the water will evaporate off as you cook them.

LOL thanks for the input! I may try it. I am not a fan either... which is why it won't get eaten. I use it in dressing and ??? that is it! As to buying more.. LOL I am cheap! I hate wasting stuff, and live 40 miles out of town so it isn't like you run to the store every day.

More like the or something! W. Texas isn't know for it's mountains :D I love living where I do. I can set at my computer and watch deer, turkeys, quail, besides all my critters. I am truly blessed!

Ah yes. I didn't realize you lived in West Texas until after I had already posted and then checked your profile. :blush: Is West Texas a pretty rural area? The only relatively big town I know of in that area is El Paso.

El Paso is aboug 8 hours drive nw of us. I am on the edge of what we call W. Texas, which can be very rural. My husaband road the school bus 50 miles one way to school and he wasn't even the futherist kid. I love it here... except when we are in a drought. But God has brought us rain so it is wonderful.
