  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey, well then.. I'm a passionate dancer, i totally love to dance. Ballet, hip-hop, freestyle, jazz, anything. But the thing is, at my school danicing isn't really what it should be. I'm wanting to freestyle, but my moves aren't always so great... Sometimes I get all nervous and really screw up my brilliant ideas, and look really stupid. Or worse yet, I can't think of something. Anyone have any freestyle moves they could explain, and possibly some tips to not freeze up and keep it hot?

Hmmm....when it comes to freestyle dancing, from what I've observed, you make it cool. At my chuch, whenever we have freestyle circles, it's more for fun and not even meant to look cool. Everyone just jumps into the middle and does whatever comes to their head, even if it looks kind of ridiculous. Of course, a church setting is different than school. My advice would be, just do your thing. If you have a certain style, go for it. If you have toruble making stuff up on the spot, make it up before hand. Choreograph it at home, and then use it as freestyle and, before you know it, you'll be making stuff up on the spot. :)

Another idea is to pick a couple of base moves and steps that you really like, and then practice them as much as you can. Then, when you are freestyling, and you get flustered, just fall back on the one or two (or even three) base moves that you picked until you feel comfortable again. That's what helps me, maybe it will help you as well. Most importantly though, have fun with your dancing, as long as you are enjoying it, don't worry about what everyone else thinks.
