FREEDOM'S HEROES
We owe a debt of gratitude
To you, our Service Personnel,
For we are thankful for the way
You guard our shores, and do it well.
Our country calls the young and brave
To keep the torch of freedom bright,
And fight the evil that would plunge
Our world into an endless night.
But when you're on the battlefield,
Remember that you're not alone.
The Lord is fighting by your side,
With strength that you have never known.
And you are in the hearts and prayers
Of moms and dads, grandparents too,
And brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts,
Your friends and cousins who love you.
We are so very proud of you,
Who willingly pay such a price,
And we will pray each day, as you
Risk life and limb in sacrifice.
So thank you for protecting us,
So stars and stripes may proudly wave
O'er beautiful America,
The home of all the free and brave.
