america's army is the best free online FPS. i play it a whole lot on the weekends, and i play it everyonce and a while during a schoolday.(afterschool, of caurse)
Jeremiah the bullfrog: the training is fun....but not near as good as the online play. you only have to do the basic combat training, and the paratroop training to play online, but it always helps to do the spec op's training, and the medic training, and the special weapons training(completing the ones you dont need to play online, will give you more weapons to use, and more levels to play on. and plus, it helps your skill

The best tactical simulation I've ever seen. It was a Microsoft game that was later abandoned due to sales that were less than expected (most likely because of the learning curve). More specifically, it's a space tactical sim, with games that have up to 200 players, depending on the night or special event.

Allegiance sounds fun. If you have broadband, you could play enemy territory, though I don't have the link to it anymore...You could look it up on www.google.com though. It is a free online mod of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
