  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When you first start out in the organization it is just charity work but the deeper you go the more twisted and evil it goes. It becomes very secretive and only when you get higher in the ranks do you learn of these things. How do I know? Heh. Not from experience. I won't get into that at all. My mom has talked to people who did and she told me.

I have heard quite a bit of research into the Masons, and have come to a number of conclusions. One of the primary of these is that the Masons at the general public level, are a social group, and there is nothing dark about the vast majority of Masons. However, at the higher levels in the order, there seems to be some darkness. Their secrecy makes it difficult to understand, but there are things that don't seem very Christian in nature if you follow their organization high enough.

I'd personally advocate staying away. As much as being just another social member wouldn't hurt, they're much like any other charity group at the level of the average member, I can't see it as righteous to put money into an organization that likely does have some darkness in their upper echelons.

George Bush is a Freemason. Most of the American Presidents have been Freemasons except for just a couple of them.

George Washington was a Freemason as well as all the founding fathers of United States.

There have been bad Freemasons that have given the organization a bad name over the years. Many people join the ranks of the Freemasons to gain power, but others join the Freemasons to help the good of humanity.

Freemasonry, like the church, is filled with wicked men and good men.

I don't know everything about them, but I do know a man has to put their faith in a singulair entity (The Great Architect i.e. God) before they are allowed to join, and if the organization strives to do what they claim then I would say they are not all that bad.

That's not to say that it isn't an evil organization - I honestly don't know. I'm too busy spreading the love of Christ to waste time to join them and find out for sure ...

Freemasonry is basically an initiatory mystery tradition. They use a lot of symbolism from the Bible and also from the Qabbalah (ancient Hebrew mysticism), and their inner teachings get more and more deeply into Qabbalah. They use the power of myth enacted in ritual as a teaching/initiatory device to precipitate spiritual growth and progress toward the light, as they define such things. They are, yes, technically speaking, an occult organization. But if you do not know the difference between Satanism and occultism, you are likely to be confused when it comes to assessing groups like these. Within the Masons themselves there are divergent traditions as well, so that for example not all Masons accept the Luciferian teachings of Pike (as elucidated in Morals and Dogma, The Ancient and Accepted Rite of Scottish Freemasonry) and would take great umbrage at having that sort of thing shoved in their face as supposed "proof" that they are "satanic".

If you are uncomfortable with rituals, initiation ceremonies, and the use of mythic elements, and believe those things to be inherently discordant with a Christian walk, there's your answer -- no need to attempt to judge whether the content is "satanic" or not.

This is basically true. The sad thing is many Christian men are Masons. It is very very decieving. From the outside and in the very beging basic stages it is merely a bunch of men doing good things for others, however it is true what has been said about the men in the higher levels of the masons. Trust me, I know this first hand :(. They get men in by seeming like an organization that just does good things for people but there is so much more going on behind closed doors with the higher level masons and it has ruined lives and destroyed familes because it is so occultic.

The best way to describe them is to compare them with mormons. For most of the congregation attending it seems like a great family focused Christian atmosphere but in higher level mormonism they have their secret meetings and with secret signs, hand shakes, even special under clothing. They discuss about how when the end of the world comes they will each have their own planets and populate that planet with their eternally pregnant wife. This sounds very bizare but I know for 100% sure it is true because I know men who've left the mormon church after finding out such things. Most the members know nothing about this and if they did I'm sure they would surely leave.

If you think about it, the bible calls Satan the angel of light because he shows up in things that look good and are appealing. If something wasn't appealing obviously we wouldn't be tempted and wouldn't be decieved. Even if you don't believe what others are saying please pray with an open heart so that the Lord might speak to you on this issue. If we are wrong then he will give you peace that your views on the Masons are right, but if we what we are saying is true he will give you a feeling of uneasiness.

Hi,

I started a similar thread on the Australian forum about this. I am not a Mason myself, but I was given a book called 'The Brotherhood' by an English fellow who is an Anglican Christian theologian with an interest in occultic activities.

I didn't know much about the Freemasons before, but basically if you are a Christian then I would question why they have a need for secret worship services and why they were open to men only. You don't see any of that happening in Christian churches where anybody can basically attend.

But the previous posters are right: they worship an entity called Jah-Bul-On, a hybrid cross between the Bible God Jehovah, the Egyptian fertility god Baal, and Osiris. THe representation of it is some ugly bug-like creature.

Some of the rituals that they hold are absolutely revolting, and seem to be for men who never learned to grow out of adolescent sadism. Yes, there are both good natured men and evil men alike in the Masonic movement but with the churches it is a bit less obvious because the worship services are a lot tamer.

Terms like 'worshipful master' and 'great advisor' are also used in the masonic movement as a form of obsequiousness to mortal men rather than reserved for Jesus alone. So, I'd advise others to stay away from this movement.
