Free cooking lessons

Does anyone know how to get any free cooking lessons? I am the baby of the family and know how to bake but have never prepared a meal with raw meats/veggies. I am 50 and it is embarassing but it is what it is. I had my elderly dad giving teaching me some-he is 86 and in an assisted living home down the street from my apartment. I have a lady who runs a ministry from her home and has an assistant who would probably help me but would charge me which I cannot afford. I live in metro Atlanta (Dekalb co). I know Publix Aprons teaches you to cook but not for free-it would have to be for free-I am currently in bankruptcy. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can learn how to cook from books and tv shows. I am no cook and even I can make good stuff from raw meat and veggies. Get a cookbook that has lots of pics.

Try YouTube.They have a lot of cooking classes, instructions, and recipes there. I hope that helps.

I was going to suggest youtube...I get all my recipes off of the internet...and maybe, if your church has a kitchen, make that become your ministry to volunteer with for a while....The library probably has some good books.

If you have a crockpot, that is a good place to start since many of those recipes are throw the raw materials in the pot and turn it on...and you get some fabulous meals....even better, are waiting when you walk in at night.

I'm writing a cookbook right now and will be doing youtube videos later on. I think a lot of people do that and youtube will be a good resource. Also, the food network has a lot of videos that you can stream online from their website.

ya, I think just type in the search bar how to cook pork or what every. Most things aren't that hard to deal with. I either use a pan on low heat on the burner or broil on low heat about 7 mins a side. Usually it takes long for me to cook say a steak on the burner. Of course depends on how well you want it cooked.
