If you want to know what the Bible actually teaches rather than just accept other ppl's hearsay, reading God's Word regularly is a great idea.

A summary of the Christian Gospel is found in John 3.16.

A passage of great comfort to those who trust the Lord Jesus is John chapter 14.1-27.

The great theme of the Lord as shepherd is seen in Psalm 23 and John chapter 10.

The topic of assurance of salvation through faith in God's Son is dealt with in John's First Epistle.

Philippians chapter 2 emphasizes the importance of the truth of the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died there for sinners and rose again.

Non denominational in my case simply means I do not live a particular branch of Christian faith. Rather, I am a bit of everything shaken up into a colorful Christian smoothie

Thanks. I don't want anyone to think that I'm grilling them when I ask that question, but it's gotten that about half the people here identify as "non-denominational," which, however, used to refer to membership in a congregation that was not attached to any larger denomination. Now it seems most often to mean that the person does not have a denominational membership or preference.
