hrmm... i don't do well with freaky movies, books I can handle a lot more! lol! my mind can process it at the rate i want it to and I'm not scared out of my tree when something jumps out at me (cuz books can't do that! )

By the way, over 10 years ago I recall Peritti did an interview with a Christian Magazine called "Citizen". The Present Darkness was to have been made into a movie. Haven't heard anything of it since. Anyone have any info?

My problem with Prophet was with the writing and story. I am pro-choice, but that was not the reason I disliked that book. I knew what the politics would be going into it. Tilly on the other hand was a tear jerker, and I thought that it was, infact, very well written. later

The Hangman's Curse and Nightmare Accademy sound alot more scary than This present darkness!! Its got the action/drama in it but its not what you would call reall really freaky....The Oath by Frank Perritti is very scary tho!

Nice summery.

The book was certainly a tear jerker, that's for sure. I read from a magazine waaaay back Peretti stating he conceived of writing a book after hearing accounts of women who suffered from P.A.S (Post Abortion Syndrome)...which can last decades after the abortion took place.

I love the ending too. Especially in knowing the fact Tilly wasn't forgotten by her family.

I know Focus on the Family played a dramatized version a way back, although I only realized after it had been aired.

I haven't heard of that book by Frank Peretti. His books r pretty freaky. After I read and saw The Hangman's Curse, I couldn't fall asleep 4 about a week, cuz it was sooooooooooo freaky!!!
