Sara Carter became the latest Fox News star to join the Trump administration as she's been named the nation's 'drug czar.'

The Trump Cabinet has been well populated with fixtures from the conservative-leaning network placed across multiple departments.

Carter, who has been a contributor on Fox News Channel since 2017, will head up the Office of National Drug Control Policy.

She has one [sic] multiple journalism awards for reporting on the brutality of Mexican drug cartels.

No offense, but I've noticed you have a repeated bad habit of quoting things without using quotation marks or italics, so it looks like you're correcting yourself, rather than the Daily Mail.

This, along with FOX news personalities having Trump's number on speed dial coordinating.
Along with FOX personalities speaking at his campaign rallies.
Along with knowing and willingly lying on the behalf of Trump given his stolen election claims.
Now juxtaposed to that when the cow the GOP had when Obama called FOXnews an arm of the GOP.

22 out of how many appointees? Doesn't seem like a huge number. If news personalities are chosen by Trump, would it make sense for them to come from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NPR, MSNBC, or PBS? Who are we kidding?

The rules of journalism are different from the rules of law, and given the deportation of "suspected, unconfirmed" gang members to a Salvadoran prison without due process, it seems as if the White House already has a lot of problems discerning the difference.

Carter could "report" on drug cartels and gang violence for Fox based on primary or several secondary sources (or on Fox News, maybe a lot less than that). As a government official, she will need to have enough evidence to indict before taking action, especially since the courts have prohibited the US from deporting any individuals to countries other than their countries of origin and/or without due process.

It seems as if Hegseth didn't quite know the rules of classified communication were different from the rules of Fox News communications.

But then again it seems as if most of Trump's appointees, whether Wall St. billionaires or media celebrities, are unqualified for the tasks they have been commissioned to do.

Throughout the years, Sara Carter has done some very intensive investigative reporting, particularly around the southern border. She knows the situation. She's repeatedly shown her courage and braveness in confronting the tough issues. And she shows no lack of compassion for those suffering.

I think Sara Carter will do a very good job at this assignment..

Between 821 and over 1,300.

Yeah, you're right, 22 is not such a big number - the real problem is that positions themselves perhaps ought to be filled by people with competence and knowledge in each field the positions cover. For a spokesperson, media liaison, or PR position, being a former Fox host could be qualifying, but for Drug Czar or Secretary of Defense? I dunno...seems a stretch.
