  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hab
2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the
just shall live by his faith.

Romans
1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Gal 3:
3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is
evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Heb
10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul
shall have no pleasure in him.

Does anyone know why four places same verses quoted?

The 3 NT are referring to the OT reference. I believe that Paul does this to back up what he is saying to the gentiles but most importantly to the Hebrews. A Jewish man who would read Hebrews is learned in the OT and would automatically know where the reference is in the OT. He would see that Habakkuk was talking about having faith in the God of the OT, and he would see that Paul is talking about having faith in Jesus who only appears in the NT. Paul is giving evidence that the God of the OT and Jesus of the NT are one and the same. I hope that this makes sense.
