  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello, I hope I am posting in the right place:

I was thinking of the days of creations and realised Jesus died on the 6th day (when Adam was created on the 6th day). I was looking around the internet and found this: http://www.atonementspringvalley.org/uploads/2/6/5/3/2653138/2014_good_friday--jn_19-17-30.pdf (hope the link works)

ATTN: I am not getting into a 7th day-rest debate here, am rather concentrating on the way the writer parallels God's finished work at creation and Jesus' work finished at the crucifixion.

I've also noted that the word "complete" in Genesis 2:1 (NIV/ NLT), in Strong's Concordance defines as "finished". In John 19:30 Jesus says "It is finished". It's just a parallel I've never did before.

I just found it beautiful. God's Word and work is beautiful indeed!

Anyone ever saw Jesus' crucifixion that way?
