  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Right now I'm a full time student and I'm in-between jobs. My job ended mid September and my new one starts up in November, it's been a nice little break. Both my jobs are seasonal which is the reason for the gaps. The one that ended in September was full time, I worked at least 40 hours a week and didn't get overtime, I'm a city employee so somehow that's and exception, it really sucks. We were also the only city run business/office that was open on the 4th of July. My job in November I'll have less hours just because of the time in school, it will probably be around 20 hours.

I am currently a full-time student. I really commend those who are able to deal with the stress of school and the stress of a part-time (or full-time) job at the same time, though. I am just not strong enough to deal with more than one type of stress at once, so that's why I don't have a job.

I'm working part-time-ish, on a year abroad from university. I'm still technically a student, but only when I'm in the UK, and until I graduate in 2010. Actually, I'm quite confused about what I am!
