• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

So I normally wash my hands before eating and I also did this time when eating bread. But then after my first bite i realised my cellphone was in my bedroom and I always play on my cellphone when eating bread. I use my left hand to play on my cellphone and my right hand to eat my bread. So I went to my bedroom to get my cellphone which was charging and took it and charged it in the livingroom. Then I started eating again and when I almost finished my bread I realised I havent washed my hands after touching my dirty cellphone and charger. I’m scared for corona. I don’t know if you can get corona like this. Am I still safe?

It would be very unlikely that you would get COVID from just touching your phone and then touching what you are eating. First you would have to touch something that had COVID. In public that could be anything. For instance, you touch a shopping cart that the last person to use it had covid. You touch the cart as you push it and you get a little covid, but then you touch all kinds of other items and by the time you drive home there might be very little left. Not too mention if you got the 1 cart in a 100 or more that had covid, that would certainly be unlucky. Anyway, here is an article that explains how it is harder but not impossible to get it from surface contact. What’s the Risk of Catching Coronavirus From a Surface?
