  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My fellow brothers in Christ, I would humbly ask for your forgiveness, as I have asked my Father for forgiveness, I am sorry that I said anything derogatory against the scriptures, with knowledge comes great responsibility, and I was not very responsible, once again I am sorry and ask forgiveness. God forgives and forgets man well he is a little bit different. This may be my last message with you and the Lord would have me share a Word of Faith, when I was young and walked in the way, I sang to the Lord, I talked with the Lord. One day I asked him what faith was he said he would show me someday when I least expected it. A week later my car had been not charging the battery very well so I decided to check into it. I lifted the hood disconnected both battery cables, and started troubleshooting, not very long I found the problem, it was a loose nut on the alt. I knew I had a wrench under the front seat, I couldn't quite reach it so I pushed the forward electric swith and it moved forward about four inches, I went out under the hood and then the voice of the Lord said ok you got your answer, what answer, about faith, how did the seat move forward He said, look at the battery it was unplugged. Faith made the seat move forward because you knew it should. I learned that we limit our faith and put constraints upon it. Our spirits are where our faith comes from. My favorite saying is God is the author of our Faith we are the author of our fate. praying you forgive me for being me.

Rayesta,

Don't be discouraged. We all make mistakes. Consider what Jesus had to deal with in His day:

Matt 23:29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’

31 “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? 34 Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

Apparently the Bible scholars of His day didn't care for live prophets either, just the writings of the dead ones! It's interesting how He picked all of His disciples not from the many Pharisees who made a habit of studying scripture, but men who were mostly illiterate.

I don't know why we think that being anointed by God is something that will ever make us rich or famous. My wife used to watch a bunch of TBN when she was younger, got the idea that serving God is supposed to be all fame and glory, and is now extremely discouraged at how our lives have turned out.

I keep running across passages in the Bible that tell us to prepare for persecution. Also the many testimonies of those who have taken up their crosses before us, and have made huge personal sacrifices for the Gospel. There is no reason to expect everyone to listen to what God has to say. In fact, some of the prophets in the Bible were told that the people He had sent them to wouldn't listen to anything that they had to say!

Not that persecution necessarily proves anyone is following God. Just, don't be surprised when it does happen.
