This is why it's important to understand the later 600 million years of the fossil succession. Spriggina of course is just one data point of a million in the overall succession.

Why should anyone care? Well, one has to wonder why we are all here discussing the topic now. Maybe because we care about our origins, I would think.

Except that has been explained you that that is simply not the case.

Also, diversity and disparity is a weird stance to try and take. Diversity means the quality of things being diverse and different, we see that in all points throughout the fossil record. Disparity means the state of something being unequal. What does that have to do with the theory of evolution?
