If you want to reject how living things are classified, that's your choice. But it will make communication about such difficult.

I'm not.

It's better to stick to the Latin names,
that way one can avoid the nonsense of calling
everything a fish.
"It is what it is...." no.

Damn there seems to be a disagreement, thus evolution is wrong. Meanwhile, will go about cleaning up the excessive growth in my back yard. Come back to me when you have anything that actually calls into question Darwin's basic insights.

Well he vacillated over Lamarkism and the inheritance of acquired characteristics. So, if you cherry pick written material from when he was in his Lamark Leaning periods you could definitely say his insights have been questioned.

Well, I've been in all three + Ho Chi Minh City (keep up with the times) and I suppose it's a kind of driving, but if you like that sort of thing I recommend Cairo.

I've been to 5 outa 6 but I vote Turkey. Through the night, bad roads, monster trucks, freeway speeds, one lane going this way, one going t'other and one in the midddle if you want to roll the dice.

Tonight I'll be having home made pasta with flaked salmo salar and a nice Pinot Gris (or should that be a nice white wine from the Vitis vinifera species of grape).

I wonder how long till selective pressure gets squirrels to
avoid cars.
Now we have the first legitimate scientific question here. We can add to that questions about cats and dogs or in my area deer. I wonder what the babble says?

Showoff, I will be happy with my baked haddock and fresh asparagus. Not sure what I will do for starch, maybe Aldi's Sourdough.

I think deer (and 'roos in my neck of the woods) generally go walk about at twilight and in areas where there is rarely street lighting and less cars. So they wander onto the roads more frequently at a time when they're harder to spot. Plus roos are as dumb as a box of rocks. But wombats are the ones to avoid. If you've got front end bars you might be ok hitting Skippy. But hitting a possum is like hitting a bag of cement.

Ah, correction. It seems we have no salmon and now my suburb has just this minute been declared a hot spot so we're under lock down for a week. Can't leave the house.* And can't go to my grandaughters bd party on Sunday.

*Actually, I think a trip to the local shop is allowed and the restrictions start at midnight. But I'd better avoid any threads that are discussing the virus for a while. Not in the best of moods right now to listen to anyone saying it's much ado about nothing.

This all falls under truth is stranger than fiction unless you can point me to some relevant fiction.

As someone said, we might as well laugh as cry.

We can only hope that something will be learned from all of the different responses to Covid.
Hope?

Well, I have a self imposed booze free period Mon - Friday. But I think these are extenuating circumstances...
